[:es]Aunque el sol no apareció en el segundo día de competencia, en el que estuvo frío, con viento y una débil llovizna, las pruebas de atletismo prevista se completaron en su totalidad. Fueron 51 pruebas que tuvieron lugar por la tarde, y luego se realizó la premiación dentro del Centro Paraolímpico Brasileño, donde tiene lugar el primer FISU América Games prácticamente en su totalidad.
Lo destacado de la jornada fue la alta participación de atletas paraolímpicos, siendo este el primer evento universitario que incluye al deporte paraolímpico.

[:en]Although the sun didn’t show up on the second day of competition, that was cold, windy and with light drizzle, the scheduled athletics events were full completed. There were 51 tests that took place in the afternoon, and then the medal ceremony was held inside the Brazilian Paralympic Center, where the first FISU América Games takes place practically entirely.
The highlight of the day was the high participation of Paralympic athletes, this being the first university event that includes Paralympic sport.
