[:es]El presidente de FISU América, Alim Maluf Neto, viajó a El Salvador para reunirse con autoridades de la Asociación Deportiva Universitaria Salvadoreña (Adusal), para constatar los avances en la organización del Campeonato Panamericano de Básquet 3×3, que se realizará del 23 al 30 de junio en Santa Tecla. Al encuentro también asistió Gerardo Corrales, presidente de la Organización Deportiva Universitaria de Centroamérica y del Caribe (ODUCC), y miembro del Comité Ejecutivo de FISU América.

Tras dos días de trabajo, el presidente de FISU América, Alim Maluf Neto, expresó: “La visita de inspección en la ciudad de Santa Tecla fue muy buena. Constatamos que las instalaciones de competencia están en perfectas condiciones para la práctica del baloncesto 3×3, así como toda la logística de transporte, alojamiento, seguridad y alimentación. El campeonato será de gran nivel y brindará todas las condiciones a nuestros estudiantes atletas. La competición tendrá total apoyo de la Federación Salvadoreña de Baloncesto en la parte técnica, así como la de la alcaldía de Santa Tecla en lo logístico”.

Además del estadio central, donde se reformaron camerinos y gimnasio, el torneo contará con una cancha alternativa ubicada a 3 kilómetros de la zona urbana, y los deportistas podrán visitar un espacio peatonal para conocer el centro histórico de Santa Tecla.

Por su parte, el presidente de Adusal, Alex Funes, afirmó: “Estuvimos muy contentos por recibir a Alim Maluf Neto para constatar los avances logrados en la organización del torneo. Adusal presentó el organigrama, las diferentes comisiones y mostró los hoteles donde se hospedarán atletas y delegados. También estuvimos en el Centro de Monitoreo, ya que la Alcaldía es socio directo en la organización, y se evidenció el sistema de seguridad de primer nivel mundial con que cuenta la ciudad, por lo que todos nuestros estudiantes atletas estarán resguardados tanto en los estadios como en los hoteles. Además, en una visita a la Universidad Evangélica se intercambiaron impresiones y mostró predisposición para trabajar en conjunto con la Universidad de Costa Rica en el desarrollo de proyectos de investigación”.

Los asistentes a la inspección resaltaron la hospitalidad y el característico cariño salvadoreño que recibieron por parte de los anfitriones, al mismo tiempo en que remarcaron la gran cobertura periodística, que demostró el interés de la ciudadanía por el deporte universitario y la expectativa de los medios por este evento en particular. Al cierre de la agenda, se efectuó una última reunión de trabajo para revisar cifras y números junto al Comité Organizador del torneo.

Adusal President, Alex Funes, said: “We were very happy to receive Alim Maluf Neto to verify the progress made in the organization of the tournament.
