[:es]En el marco del Foro FISU América que reunió a 12 representantes del continente, y que concluyó con total éxito en Puerto La Cruz, Venezuela, se realizó también la reunión del Comité Ejecutivo de FISU América.

En el encuentro, se analizó el funcionamiento de la entidad en esta etapa, repasando la situación actual de los distintos países. En este sentido, se resaltaron los beneficios de las reuniones realizadas a través de Skype, y se valoró el crecimiento en materia de comunicación, además de las felicitaciones que llegaron al país organizador del Foro FISU América y los Juegos ODUCC, realizados en simultáneo.

Los integrantes del Comité Ejecutivo se mostraron entusiasmados con la agenda que tiene por delante el deporte universitario en América. En el futuro más próximo, comenzarán los torneos panamericanos, con la primera cita en junio, con el Básquet 3×3 en la Universidad Nacional de La Matanza, en Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Para octubre llegará el diálogo estratégico con autoridades de FISU, que desembarcarán en Goiana, Brasil, y proyectarán los ejes del deporte universitario para el futuro, en conjunto con las federaciones del continente americano. Antes, FISU América tendrá una nueva asamblea en las Universiadas de Taipei, en agosto.

Pensando en 2018, se remarcó la apuesta de concretar los Juegos Panamericanos Universitarios en San Pablo, Brasil.

Participaron de la reunión el presidente de FISU América, Alim Neto, el secretario general Sandy Rodríguez, el tesorero Emiliano Ojea, y los asesores América Alvarado de Honduras, y Luis Pelaez de la República Dominicana, además de Gilles Lepine de Canadá, representando a los países de Norteamérica, Hugo Viglietti por la Confederación Sudamericana de Deportes.[:en] 

In the framework of FISU America Forum, which brought together 12 representatives from the continent, and successfully concluded in Puerto La Cruz, Venezuela, the meeting of the FISU America Executive Committee was also held.

At the meeting, the operation of the entity was analysed at this stage, reviewing the current situation of different countries. In this sense, the benefits of the meetings made through Skype were highlighted, and growth in communication was valued, as well as congratulations to the organizing country of the FISU America Forum and the ODUCC Games, held simultaneously.

The members of the Executive Committee were enthusiastic about the schedule of university sports in America. In the near future, the Pan American tournaments will begin, with the first appointment in June, with the 3×3 Basketball at National University of La Matanza, in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

In October, the strategic dialogue will be held with FISU authorities, who will land in Goiana, Brazil, and will project the axes of university sport for the future, together with federations of the American continent. Previously, FISU America will have a new assembly at Taipei Universiade in August.

Thinking in 2018, it was remarked the commitment to realize the Pan American University Games in San Pablo, Brazil.
