[:es]Los tan esperados FISU AMERICA eSports -FIFA20 comenzarán este miércoles 6 de mayo, en donde se enfrentarán competidores de 15 países del continente para encontrar al mejor jugador de FIFA20 de América.

 

Luego de las las distintas competencias nacionales organizadas por las federaciones universitarias de los diferentes países, se definieron quienes serán los representantes en esta histórica  primera competencia universitaria internacional de eSports.

 

Previo al torneo, en el día de hoy, martes 5, a las 20hs (GMT -3) se va a llevar a cabo un congreso entre los líderes de federación y atletas para esclarecer todas las dudas que puedan surgir con respecto al formato, reglas, entre otros. Además, se realizará el sorteo de grupos y se establecerá el fixture del campeonato.

Haciendo frente a la situación que afecta a todo el mundo, y adaptándose a lo que toca vivir en este momento, FISU AMERICA continúa fortaleciendo las relaciones entre las federaciones y creando vínculos entre los atletas-estudiantes, con el objetivo de seguir expandiendo la familia del deporte universitario.

 

El crecimiento de los eSports es indudable y el deporte universitario en todo América dió prueba de eso. Claros ejemplos de esto son las competencias organizadas por Liga Universitaria de Deportes(Uruguay), en la que hubo más de 400 inscriptos, o el caso de CBDU (Brasil), donde más de 100 participantes pelearon por su lugar. Federaciones como FEDUP (Perú), quien definió su campeón y el resto de sus participantes el día 2 de mayo, tuvieron apasionantes transmisiones en vivo a través de distintas plataformas digitales en las que el público pudo apoyar, desde sus casas, a los competidores pertenecientes a sus universidades o amigos. En el caso de Argentina (FeDUA), con 64 participantes de 42 universidades distintas, tuvo participantes de todos los rincones del país.

 

El campeonato comenzará con una primera fase donde los 36 jugadores se dividiran en 8 grupos, 4 grupos de 4 equipos y 4 grupos de 5 equipos, de los cuales sólo los mejores 2 de cada uno avanzarán a la siguiente fase. Luego, los 16 equipos que consigan alcanzar los octavos de final, se enfrentarán en eliminatorias a un partido hasta alcanzar el campeonato. Además de consagrarse el campeón del torneo, se disputará un partido por el tercer puesto. Los juegos serán transmitidos a través del Canal de YouTube de FISU AMERICA.

TSATT (Trinidad y Tobago): Malik Baptiste de la University of the Souther Caribbean y Martin Nyameke de la University of the West Indies.[:en]The long awaited FISU AMERICA eSports -FIFA20 are going to start this Wednesday, May 6th, where the competitors from 15 countries of out continent will play to find out who is the best FIFA20 player of America.

 

After the national competitions organized by the university federations, the players qualified to the continental stage were defined, becoming part of the first international university eSports competition.

 

Before the tournament, today, May 5th, at 8pm (GMT -3), will be carried out a conference between the leaders of the federations and the players, to solve doubts about the rules, competition format, among other things. Also, will have place the group draw and fixture of matches.

 

Facing this hard situation that affect the world, and adapting to the reality in this moment, FISU AMERICA keep making stronger the relationship between the federations and linking the athletes-students of continents, with the idea to make the family of university sports bigger.

 

The growing movement of eSports is undeniable and the America’s university sports demonstrated it. The Championship will start with a first stage of 36 players divided in 8 groups, 4 groups of 4 teams and 4 groups of 5 teams each one, where only two will move to the next stage. Then, the participants remaining will reach the round of sixteen, where they will play eliminatory games until the game for the championship, and also will be a game for the third place.
