Ezequiel Navarro brings Taekwondo in his genes: his father trains him, his sister integrates the female adult national team. He tried to avoid, tried with football, but returned to his first love and never left. “It became my life since the age of 15, when I started to be part of the youth team of WTF Taekwondo.”

“Tito” (everyone knows him by that nickname) traveled to Canada and won Gold, then went to Las Vegas and won Silver. Those tournaments were the preparatory for the qualifying and the World Cup. The youthful successes followed and he was the only one qualified for the Olympic Games of Nanjing 2014.

But now it’s beginning his adult race and the goals changed. Starting with the “Double Race” project signed by Argentine University Sport Federation and the Argentine Taekwondo Confederation, which motivates athletes who want to integrate the Argentine Taekwondo team to study a university career, “Tito” understood that if he wanted to continue growing, also had to grow in academic.

In less than a week, in his life, everything happened: on April 21st he gave the last subject that remained from high school, hours later he was already writing in Combat Sports Technicature at Lomas de Zamora National University, and four days later began to study. Otherwise, he would not have been able to participate of his discipline, realized the 27 of April, to integrate the Team that will travel to Taipei Universiade in August.

“Thanks to this project and my desire to represent Argentina at the Universiade, I registered in this career. I am also thinking about my future”, he explains.

“I feel that sport and studies represents, each from their side, a personal growth. By studying and training at the same time, I am forming in all aspects of life”, he said.

The possibility of going to the Universiade is not only a challenge, but also a pending account: “In 2014 I fell in the quarter-finals with the world champion, I have great faith that this time I will achieve.”[:]
