[:es]Apostando al uso de la tecnología para mantener comunicaciones fluidas, periódicas y con todos los actores, el Comité Ejecutivo de FISU América mantuvo una nueva reunión vía Skype. En la oportunidad se repasaron todas las gestiones realizadas por el presidente de la entidad continental, Alim Maluf Neto, en la última reunión de FISU en Suiza.

Entre otros aspectos, se resaltó la importancia de participar en el programa de líderes voluntarios, para fomentar el espíritu olímpico y sumarse a las academias, encuentros y proyectos con jóvenes de todo el mundo.

Además, se repasaron las actividades previstas en la agenda 2018 de la federación continental. Uno de los eventos centrales será la segunda Copa de Básquet 3×3, del 20 al 26 de junio en Santa Tecla, El Salvador. El evento, que ya tiene los primeros equipos confirmados, es clasificatorio para la cuarta Liga Mundial de la disciplina.

Entre el 19 y el 29 de julio la actividad se centrará en San Pablo, Brasil, donde se desarrollará un encuentro de Comité Ejecutivo, los primeros FISU América Games, y la primera copa de fútbol de FISU América.

El 20 de Septiembre se realizará la competencia para definir la capital continental del deporte universitario, y del 21 al 25 de noviembre tendrá lugar el segundo foro de FISU América en Huixquilucan, México.

Emiliano Ojea, tesorero en FISU América, expresó: “El año 2018 marcará un antes y un después en el deporte de nuestro continente, completando los torneos de la nueva agenda planteada por FISU, con campeonatos por universidades. FISU América está demostrando su capacidad de organización y marcando presencia en FISU con gestiones muy importantes”.[:en]Betting on the use of technology to maintain a fluid and regular contact with all partners, the Executive Committee of FISU América held a new meeting trough Skype. On the occasion, all the managements made by the president of the continental entity, Alim Maluf Neto, at the last FISU meeting in Switzerland, were reviewed.

Among other aspects, the importance of participating in the program of volunteer leaders was highlighted, to foster the Olympic spirit and join the academies, meetings and projects with young people from all over the world.

In addition, the activities listed in 2018 schedule of the continental federation were reviewed. One of the central events will be the second 3×3 Basketball Cup, from June 20 to 26 in Santa Tecla, El Salvador. The event, which already has the first confirmed teams, is qualifying for the fourth World League of the discipline.

Between July 19 and 29, the activity will focus on Sao Paulo, Brazil, where an Executive Committee meeting, the first FISU America Games, and the first football cup of FISU America will be held.

On September 20, the competition to define the continental capital of university sports will take place, and from November 21 to 25, the second Forum of FISU America will be developed in Huixquilucan, Mexico.
