[:es]En el día de ayer, miércoles 6 de mayo, los FISU AMERICA eSports tuvieron su apertura en donde se disputaron los partidos correspondientes a la primera fase del Grupo A.

Luego de una primera jornada apasionante con 6 partidos, en donde se obtuvieron los primeros dos clasificados a los octavos de final, quienes se enfrentarán en la segunda fase, con aquellos que consigan clasificar del grupo B.

Los juegos han sido transmitidos a través del canal oficial de YouTube de FISU AMERICA, a partir de las 10 de la noche, lo cual se mantendrá para lo que resta de la fase de grupos. La decisión de transmitir en diferido fue pensando en pos de priorizar el buen funcionamiento del juego, debido a los problemas de conexión que sufren algunas regiones del continente.

El partido inaugural, disputado entre Elías Castillo y Yago Taboada, el cual terminó con resultado favorable para Taboada por 1 a 0. El cual fue seguido por espectadores de todo el continente, quienes se conectaron para seguir lo que es la primera competencia universitaria internacional de e-sports.

Yago Taboada, perteneciente a FeDUA Argentina y estudiante de la Universidad de la Matanza, consiguió la primera posición de su grupo, alcanzando 3 victorias. En primer turno se enfrenté con el chileno Elías Castillo, a quien venció en un ajustado 1 a 0, siguió con una victoria frente al jugador Martin Nyamekye, de Trinidad y Tobago por 5 a 2 y cerró la fase de grupos derrotando al hondureño, Leonardo Murillo por tan sólo 1 a 0. Valiendose así de los 9 puntos que lo ubican en una posición inmejorable de cara a lo que serán los cruces elimminatorios.

El segundo clasificado del grupo A es Elías Castillo, miembro de FENAUDE, Chile, y estudiante de la Pontificia Universidad de Valparaíso. Elías consiguió el boleto a octavos de final, luego de un partido muy parejo frente a Yago Taboada en la apertura del torneo, una victoria abultada por 6 a 0 frente a Leonardo Murillo de Honduras y un empate en 1 con el representante de Trinidad y Tobago, el cual le dió la clasificación por diferencia de goles.

El grupo A se cerró con Martin Nyamekye de Trinidad y Tobago con 4 puntos, en el tercer lugar, y Leonardo Murillo sin sumar puntos, en el 4° lugar de la zona. Cerrando así su participación en la competencia, y seguramente con la esperanza de haber podido ser parte de los 16 mejores, pero con el orgullo de haber participado de los primeros FISU AMERICA eSports – FIFA20 representando a sus países y universidades.

[:en]Yesterday, May 6th, the FISU AMERICA eSports had their opening day and all the matches belonging to the Group A were played.

After a passionate first day, with 6 games, where the first two qualified to the round of 16 got their tickets to the second stage, and now, they wait for their opponents in the second phase of the tournament.

The games have been streamed through the official YouTube Channel of FISU AMERICA at 10pm, what is going to be the way until the group phase finish. This determination was thought in pursuit of a better functioning of the games, because some regions of our continent are having troubles with the wi-fi connections.

The opening game played between Elías Castillo and Yago Taboada ended 1-0 for Taboada. The match was watch by many people from all over the continent, who were connected to follow all the action of the first university international e-sports competition.

Yago Taboada, belonging to FeDUA Argentina and student of the Universidad de la Matanza, got the first position of the group, achieving 3 victories. In the first game, he faced the chilean, Elías Castillo, and won in a really tied game by 1-0, followed by a victory agains the player from Trinidad and Tobago, Martin Nyamekye, in a great game, for 5-2. Yago closed his participation in the first stage with a 1-0 against Leonardo Murillo. Moving to the round of 16 with a perfect score in an unbeatable position.

The second qualified of the Group A is Elías Castillo, member of FENAUDE, Chile and student of the Pontificia Universidad de Valparaíso. Elías got his ticket to the next round after a tied game with Yago Taboada in the opening of the tournament, then he beat Leonardo Murillo by 6-0 and he tied with Martin Nyamekye 1-1, getting this last game, the qualification to the round of 16.

The group A qualification was closed with Martin Nyamekye from Trinidad and Tobago with 4 points, in the third place and Leonardo Murillo without points in the 4rd place. Closing their participation in the tournament, may be not in the way they want, but with the honor of being part of the first FISU AMERICA eSports – FIFA20 representing their countries and universities.
