En el marco de los Juegos Olímpicos de la Juventud que se llevan adelante en Buenos Aires, la Casa del Deporte Universitario de FISU recibió numerosas e importantes visitas. Desde deportistas y estudiantes de todo el mundo hasta entrenadores y dirigentes deportivos recorrieron el espacio donde se muestra el movimiento universitario del continente y el mundo, y se llevaron adelante conferencias y exposiciones.
El presidente de FISU América, Alim Maluf Neto, permaneció varios días en Argentina, donde junto con el presidente de la Federación del Deporte Universitario Argentino (FeDUA), Emiliano Ojea, recibieron al presidente de FISU, Oleg Matytsin, con quien visitaron la Universidad Nacional de La Matanza (UNLaM) para un encuentro con el rector, Daniel Martínez, directores de deporte y estudiantes atletas de todo el país.
“Fue muy provechoso y un gusto dialogar con rectores, estudiantes atletas y directores deportivos de universidades argentinas, mostrándoles nuestro movimiento deportivo universitario, y presentando las actividades que impulsa FISU América”, expresó Maluf Neto.
En la Casa del Deporte Universitario ubicada en el Parque Olímpico, se recibió la visita del presidente del Comité Olímpico de Brasil, Paulo Vanderley, uno de los principales impulsores del movimiento universitario brasileño y de todo el continente, ya que en ese país se desarrolló la histórica primera edición de los FISU América Games con gran apoyo.
Además, las autoridades de FISU América firmaron un convenio de cooperación con la Confederación Panamericana de Bádminton, a través de su presidente, Vishu Tolan, para potenciar la práctica de este deporte con trabajo conjunto con las federaciones nacionales en todo el continente. También estuvo presente en la rúbrica del memorando de entendimiento el español David Cabello, director ejecutivo de la Federación Internacional de Bádminton.

“It was very profitable and a pleasure to talk with rectors, student athletes and sport directors of Argentine universities, showing them our university sports movement, and presenting the activities promoted by FISU America,” said Maluf Neto.
In the University Sports House located in the Olympic Park was received the president of the Brazilian Olympic Committee, Paulo Vanderley, one of the main promoters of university sport movement from Brazil and of the entire continent, since in that country the historic first edition of the FISU America Games was held with a great support.
In addition, the authorities of FISU America signed a cooperation agreement with the Pan-American Badminton Confederation, through its president, Vishu Tolan, to promote the practice of this sport through joint work with national federations throughout the continent. The Spanish David Cabello, executive director of the International Badminton Federation, was also present in the memorandum of understanding signature.
