In an assembly held at the 2017 Summer Universiade Athlete Village in Taipei, the South American University Sports Confederation (COSUD) renewed its executive committee.

Daniel Muñoz, of the National University Sports Federation of Chile (Fenaude), is the new president, while Lusimar Santos, of the Brazilian Confederation of University Sports (CBDU), will again occupy the vice presidency, in the same way that Martin Castro of the Sports Federation University of Peru (Fedup), will be General Secretary.

On the other hand, it was defined Adrián Verdini, of Argentine University Sports Federation (FeDUA), as treasurer, and Francisco Sandoval, of the Colombian Association of Universities (ASCUN), as new vowel.

The meeting also dealt with the organization of different international competitions in various sports and countries.

The president of FISU America, Alim Maluf Neto, was present at the assembly, in which he congratulated the outgoing committee for the good work done, and wished success to the new management for the next four years of work. “I am sure that Daniel Muñoz and the whole Executive Committee will continue motivating the growth that comes through university sports in the region”, he said.
