[:es]El presidente de FISU América, Alim Maluf Neto, reflejó que el balance 2017 para FISU América es extremadamente positivo y anticipó un 2018 mucho mejor.

“2017 fue un año de consolidación de FISU AMÉRICA como entidad continental. Realizamos en el mes de abril nuestro primer foro en la ciudad de Puerto La Cruz, Venezuela, con la participación de presidentes de federaciones, rectores, entrenadores y estudiantes de nuestro continente. En junio realizamos en Buenos Aires el primer Panamericano de Básquet 3×3 con la participación de ocho equipos de las Américas, evento que marcó los corazones de los alumnos/atletas de nuestra región, clasificando a nuestros representantes para la liga mundial de Xiamen. En octubre en la ciudad de Goiânia, Brasil, realizamos el primer congreso de presidentes y diálogo estratégico de FISU América, con la participación de 14 países, donde discutimos con las mayores autoridades de nuestro movimiento deportivo universitario las directivas para desarrollar aún más nuestra federación continental. En el transcurso del año, celebramos por tercera oportunidad los beach games internacionales realizados en diciembre en la ciudad de Manaos, otro evento de éxito que ya forma parte del calendario de nuestras federaciones nacionales”, detalló Maluf Neto.El presidente de FISU América también destacó “la solidificación de las federaciones nacionales de nuestro continente, principalmente la representación de las Américas en el escenario mundial, ya que cada día nuestras universidades se vienen desarrollando tanto cuantitativa como cualitativamente. Así pues, nuestro balance de 2017 es extremadamente positivo”.

Con vistas al año próximo, anticipó: “Y si 2017 fue un éxito, tendremos un 2018 aún mejor con la segunda edición del Panamericano de Básquet 3×3 y del foro FISU América, pero principalmente con la realización de nuestro mayor sueño y objetivo que son los Juegos FISU América en la ciudad de São Pablo del 20 al 29 de julio. Estamos cada día trabajando y desarrollando actividades para nuestros alumnos/atletas, que son nuestra razón de existir, pues somos FISU América: un continente, una pasión”.
