[:es]La ciudad de San Pablo, Brasil, está preparada para vivir la primera gran fiesta del deporte universitario continental, la primera edición de los FISU América Games, del 19 al 29 de julio. Además del anfitrión, hay 10 países confirmados: Argentina, Canadá, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Estados Unidos, Honduras, Paraguay, México y Uruguay. competirán en 10 disciplinas deportivas: Atletismo, baloncesto, fútbol, futsal, judo, natación, taekwondo, tenis, tenis de mesa y voleibol. Y en atletismo, natación y tenis de mesa habrá también competencia paraolímpica, en una gran noticia para el deporte universitario de todo el continente.

El Comité Organizador confirmó importantes cuestiones logísticas. Las delegaciones se hospedarán y comerán en el hotel Holiday Inn Anhembi, donde habrá traslado disponible desde el Aeropuerto Internacional de Guarulhos.

Las delegaciones serán acreditadas en el hotel, aunque se solicitó a los países participantes que culminen todos los aspectos vinculados a la inscripción de sus estudiantes atletas. Todos los integrantes de la delegación recibirán, luego de un acuerdo entre la Confederación Brasileña de Deporte Universitario (CBDU) y la empresa Correios Celular, un chip con 1 GB de Internet y 100 minutos libres para hablar con cualquier teléfono en Brasil.

La ceremonia inaugural será el día 20 de julio a las 17 hora local. Un día antes habrá una reunión de jefes de delegación, y comenzarán las reuniones técnicas. La competencia comenzará el mismo día 20 con fútbol y las clasificaciones en atletismo paraolímpico. Todos los deportes se desarrollarán en el Centro de Entrenamiento Paraolímpico, excepto fútbol, que se jugará en instalaciones de la Universidad Nacional de San Pablo.

[:en]The city of Sao Paulo, Brazil, is ready to experience the first great celebration of continental university sport, the first edition of the FISU America Games, from July 19 to 29. In addition to the host, there are 10 confirmed countries: Argentina, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, United States, Honduras, Paraguay, Mexico and Uruguay. The Organizing Committee confirmed important logistical issues. The delegations will stay and eat at the Holiday Inn Anhembi hotel, where there will be transportation available from the Guarulhos International Airport. The delegations will be accredited at the hotel, although the participating countries were asked to complete all aspects related to their student athletes’ registration. All the members of the delegation will receive, after an agreement between the Brazilian Confederation of University Sports (CBDU) and the company Correios Celular, a chip with 1 GB of Internet and 100 free minutes to talk with any telephone in Brazil.

The opening ceremony will be on July 20 at 17 local time. A day before there will be a meeting of heads of delegation, and technical meetings will begin. The competition will start on Friday with football and Paralympic athletics qualifications. All sports will be developed in the Paralympic Training Center, except football, which will be played in facilities of the National University of Sao Paulo.
