[:es]Javier Valverde, de Costa Rica, ya retomó sus estudios luego de una gran experiencia en el Mundial Universitario de Ciclismo, desarrollado del 31 de julio al 4 de agosto en Braga, Portugal.
De regreso en la Universidad de Costa Rica, comentó: “La experiencia fue increíble, las instalaciones fueron las mejores, como así también la atención y organización por parte de FISU. Estuve participando en la modalidad Cross Country Olímpico y fue un sueño haber estado ahí como único representante de Costa Rica y todo América”.
“Esta fue mi primera experiencia a nivel internacional y por ello estoy contento con el resultado, en el puesto 18 de 36 competidores, porque el nivel de competición es muy alto, sobre el de Europa. Hubo mucho calor, corrimos a 40 grados centígrados. Me siento satisfecho, tal vez me hubiese gustado una mejor posición, pero el resultado está bien”, concluyó.
