Meanwhile the conferences at FISU America Forum develop in Puerto La Cruz, Venezuela, which ended with total success, the inaugural ceremony of the University Sports Games of Central America and the Caribbean, ODUCC, took place, and 700 athletes are participating in 8 sports disciplines in both genders.
A total of 14 countries attend these events, 12 from America, plus FISU representatives from Switzerland and Belgium, who join sports and knowledge as a sign of union and peace, in a necessary gesture for the host country.
The Forum was attended by COSUD President Hugo Viglietti, Inés Gómez, Argentinian member of the FISU Education Committee, FISU’s First Vice-President, Leonz Eder, Vice-Chancellor of the Simón Rodríguez National Experimental University, Adrian Padilla, and the National Experimental University Simón Rodríguez Principal, Ana Alejandrina Reyes.
Javier Orlandoni, leader of the Federation of Argentine University Sports, and Elaine Moreleto, of the Sports University Federation of Roraima Brazil, and the Director of Research and Postgraduate Studies of the South Sport University, Luis Díaz, and Francisco Hernández and Eric Brito, from UNESR, also exposed.
The second day made speechs Laurent Briel, Development Director of FISU, Alim Neto, President of FISU America, Luciano Cabral, President of CBDU and Vice President of FISU, and Rosaura Méndez, FISU Director of Gender Equality.
