[:es]El presidente de FISU AMERICA, Alim Maluf Neto, se encuentra en Mexico. Uno de los motivos de su visita fue el comienzo de los Juegos Universitarios de México en la ciudad de Mérida, Yucatán. Los juegos son organizados por la CONNDE, cuyo presidente, Manuel Merodio, a su vez es el Vicepresidente de FISU América.

Maluf Neto y Merodio aprovecharon la ocasión para reunirse con los directivos de la Universidad de Guadalajara, entre ellos la directora de deporte y el pro rector de la Universidad de Guadalajara, quienes plantearon su interés por organizar los 2° FISU AMERICA GAMES 2020.

 

En el encuentro se comentaron los requisitos y necesidades de la organización y nuestro presidente, Maluf Neto dijo que ‘’fue una reunión muy productiva y seguiremos en contacto los próximos días para poder contar con definiciones’’. En la primera edición de los juegos, San Pablo 2018, participaron más de mil estudiantes de 13 países del continente. La intención es que para 2020 se consolide el evento y continúe creciendo el deporte universitario en la región.[:en]The president of FISU AMERICA, Alim Maluf Neto, is in Mexico. One of the reasons of his visit is the beginning of the University Mexican Games in the city of Mérida, Yucatán. The games are organized by CONNDE, which his president, Manuel Merodio, also is the Vice President of FISU AMERICA.

Maluf Neto and Merodio grab the opportunity to meet with the managers of the University of Guadalajara, with each other the sports director and the pro rector of the University of Guadalajara, who showed their interest in the organization of the 2nd FISU AMERICA GAMES 2020.

 

In the meeting the requirements and needs were commented for the organization of the event and our president Maluf Neto said that ‘it was a very profitable meeting and we will keep in touch the next few days and try to define’. In the first edition of the games, San Pablo 2018, more than 1000 students from 13 countries of the continent were part of. The intention in 2020 is to strengthen the event and the university sport in our region keep growing.[:]
